EXQUISITE BALL BEARINGS BY FABIO SALINI

CARBON FIBRE RINGS JOINED BY SMOOTH PEARLS IN AN ULTRA-FUTURISTIC BRACELET

It is necessary to have curiosity and to have the courage to walk on the edge and go further.

Fabio Salini

Jewelry with character: fragile, dainty pearls surrounded, protected and emphasized by a solid, strong, modern structure, exuding the power of Yin and Yang.

A modernist Roman jeweler and designer, Fabio Salini challenges the notion that jewelry is simply a status symbol. He believes that the true value of a jewel is not just tied to the monetary value of its materials, but to the emotional significance it holds for the wearer.

Renowned for his exquisite and unique creations, Salini builds jewelry as a blend of traditional and contemporary, characterized by intricate designs, attention to detail, and excellent craftsmanship. To make sure that each piece is unique and has a personal touch, Fabio creates every piece himself, from start to finish.

The ring and bracelet in carbon fibre, white gold, pearls and diamonds are the perfect example of his appreciation for unusual materials and the emotions they can evoke.

I'm fascinated by the different emotions that different materials can evoke. For example, titanium is a very modern, high-tech material that conveys a sense of strength and resilience, while gold has a timeless elegance and sophistication. Each material has its own personality, and I try to capture that personality in my designs.

"Fabio Salini: The Art of High Jewelry," in Luxe Interiors + Design, November 2018

Fabio Salini is known for his unconventional use of materials. In addition to titanium, he incorporates into his ultra-modern and architecturally inspired designs natural objects such as horns, eggs, bamboo, leaves, flowers and straw; non-precious components like rope and leather; as well as industrial elements: copper thread, stainless steel and carbon fiber, which all add a touch of mystique and deep-space void to his futuristic, other-worldly creations.

My inspiration is the result of many different things and information that I catch on to every day and that becomes part of my thoughts and myself. [...] I think that inspiration is above all an energy that turns into something magical; it is emotional and it’s not bound by geography.

Fabio Salini

The designer finds inspiration in contemporary art, architecture and nature, music, dance, and even food. As a matter of fact, he once created a collection of rings inspired by different types of pasta: fusilli, rigatoni and spaghetti. On another occasion, he worked with Heinz Beck, a three-Michelin starred chef and founder of the Order of the Knights of Italian Cuisine, to create a special jewelry collection inspired by the flavors and ingredients of Italian cuisine, where pieces feature bizarre  components such as rice and lentils.

Never stop exploring and never stop being inspired, in the spirit of Fabio Salini.
