EARRINGS BY SHAUN LEANE: STERN ELEGANCE AND UNDENIABLE FEMININITY

WHERE FLOWERS AND THORNS, DELICACY AND POWER ALL MERGE INTO ONE

Women have always been the strong ones of the world.

Coco Chanel

Shaun Leane's creations exude a cool allure, balancing stern elegance with an undeniable femininity.

He is a master at stylish daring. From humble beginnings as an apprentice, he learned the secrets of the craft from the very best, honing his skills until they sparkled like the gems he worked with.

But it was his collaboration with fashion maverick Alexander McQueen that truly set his creations on fire. The Skeleton Corset, from McQueen's Untitled collection for Spring-Summer 1998, features intricate metalwork reminiscent of skeletal structures. Its stark, angular lines speak of mortality and transformation, challenging traditional notions of beauty with a raw, unflinching intensity.

I'm a liability to them – I'm a woman, I'm empowered, I'm an artist. I've had executives who can't come to my shows they're so scared of me. I've been a thorn in many people's sides just by existing.

Alanis Morissette

In contrast, the Coiled Corset from The Overlook collection for Autumn-Winter 1999–2000 brings up a sense of primal power and sensuality. Its sinuous metal bands, inspired by the serpentine forms of nature, wrap around the body with a fierce elegance, the strength and resilience of the feminine spirit.

There's a wild beauty to his floral earrings, a magnetic quality that draws you in, reminiscent of the fantastical flower from Alice's crazy and beautiful Wonderland.
